Activists Protest Against Mob Lynching, Fake Encounters, and 'Bulldozer Raj'

Kahalgaon (Bhagalpur): Activists of the CPI(ML) organized a 'Day of Resistance' (Pratirodh Diwas) at Malakpur Chandni Chowk in Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur district, on Saturday. During the event, party leaders and activists staged a strong protest against the rising incidents of mob lynching, alleged "fake encounters," and the "Bulldozer Raj" (bulldozer politics) being implemented by the administration across the country and the state.

Sharp Criticism of Government Policies

Leading the demonstration, CPI(ML) District Committee member Randhir Yadav termed the policies of both the state and central governments as "anti-people." He stated that an atmosphere is being created in the country where the rule of law and the Constitution are being sidelined, forcing minorities, Dalits, and the poor to live in fear.

Targeting the Chief Minister, Randhir Yadav remarked that the manner in which "bulldozer culture" is being promoted in Bihar is fatal to democracy. He asserted that demolishing poor settlements and using bulldozers without prior notice or due legal process is a direct violation of human rights.

Key Demands and Points of Protest

During the demonstration, the speakers prominently highlighted the following issues:

Curbing Mob Lynching: The party demanded an immediate stop to incidents of mob lynching occurring in the name of religion and identity across different parts of the country, calling for capital punishment for the perpetrators.

Judicial Probe into Fake Encounters: They demanded a judicial inquiry into the recent alleged fake encounters by police and security forces. Leaders accused the government of using these encounters to suppress political opponents.

Ending 'Bulldozer Raj': The protestors demanded an immediate halt to the administration's actions of demolishing the homes and shops of the poor, along with a demand for adequate compensation and rehabilitation facilities for those displaced.

Carrying party flags and anti-government placards, the activists raised slogans against the administration. The leaders warned that if the government does not reform its "repressive policies," the party will intensify its agitation across the entire district. Other local leaders who participated in the protest stated in their addresses that this battle is not just for one party, but for every citizen who wishes to live with justice and dignity.

Through this 'Day of Resistance,' the CPI(ML) has sought to send a clear message that they will not accept conditions resembling lawlessness or the politics of "bulldozers" under any circumstances. The event concluded with a public meeting where participants took a pledge to protect constitutional values.
