Jhandapur: The 124th death anniversary of the great philosopher, social reformer, and inspiration for the youth, Swami Vivekananda, was observed with deep reverence and dignity at the Middle School in Jhandapur on Saturday. During the special program organized on this occasion, teachers, staff, and students of the school paid floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda’s portrait and took a pledge to incorporate his ideals into their lives.

A Beacon of Life Philosophy and Inspiration

Addressing the students, the headmaster reminded them of Swami Ji's most famous mantra: "Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached." He remarked that in today's era, when students often face stress and competition, Swami Ji's thoughts can be the most effective tools in providing them with self-confidence and concentration.

The teachers present at the program also shared their thoughts. The speakers emphasized that Swami Vivekananda believed education was not just about acquiring bookish knowledge, but about "man-making." One teacher stated, "Swami Ji believed that education is that which makes a person fearless and brings out the talent hidden within them."

Students of the school also participated enthusiastically in the program. Some students recited excerpts from Swami Ji’s historic Chicago speech, which filled the entire school campus with a sense of patriotism and pride. The children also organized a short play based on Swami Ji’s life and a discussion session.
