Grand Launch of Hindi Ghazal Collection 'Ek Kaur', 60 Poets Enchant the Audience
Sultaniganj (Bhagalpur): The premises of Maharshi Mehi Ashram in Sultaniganj were filled with the fragrance of literature this Sunday. The occasion was the grand launch of the Hindi ghazal collection, 'Ek Kaur'. This literary event not only featured the unveiling of the book but also included a massive 'Kavi Sammelan' (poetic symposium), where poets from various corners of the country captivated the audience with their compositions.
The Launch of 'Ek Kaur'
The highlight of the event was the official launch of the Hindi ghazal collection 'Ek Kaur'. Scholars and literature enthusiasts described the book as a significant achievement for Hindi literature. The event was graced by Sudhir Kumar as the Chief Guest and Professor Amarkant Singh as the Guest of Honour. They inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the traditional lamp.
In their addresses, the guests remarked that the publication of a ghazal collection like 'Ek Kaur' is proof that the stream of Hindi literature remains profoundly rich today and that the new generation is leaving a deep impression even in a challenging genre like the ghazal. Several other speakers, including Dr. Shivnarayan, praised the collection, noting that the ghazals compiled within it deeply touch upon the struggles and sensitivities of the common man's life.
A Gathering of Litterateurs
The scale of this event was its defining feature. Writers and poets from across various states, including Bihar, Jharkhand, and Delhi, participated. The program was conducted in three sessions, making it highly organized and effective. The second session was presided over by Aniruddh Prabhash, during which discussions were also held on the current state and challenges of Angika literature.
A Feast of 60 Poets
The third session of the event featured an open 'Kavi Sammelan', which became the talk of the town. Around 60 poets participated on this stage. When the poets presented their works—ranging from themes of romance and heroism to social issues—the entire hall echoed with thunderous applause.
The symposium showcased a wonderful harmony between senior and young creators. While experienced poets added depth to the gathering with their mature compositions, young poets compelled the audience to cheer by presenting their fresh perspectives on contemporary issues.
Fostering Cultural and Literary Consciousness
Organized at a sacred site like the Maharshi Mehi Ashram, this event has given a new identity to the literary landscape of Sultaniganj. For the local residents, it was a memorable literary festival. At the conclusion of the program, the organizers expressed their gratitude to all the guests, writers, and contributors. The event successfully demonstrated that Sultaniganj is fertile ground for literary activities and that such gatherings foster creative consciousness in society.
