Patna: A heartbreaking tragedy struck Chesi village under the Naubatpur police station area of Patna, where two brothers lost their lives after drowning in a water-filled irrigation pond. The deceased have been identified as Abhijeet Kumar (14) and Priyanshu Kumar (13). According to officials and local residents, the brothers had gone to the fields for a walk when the younger sibling entered the pond for a swim. As he began to drown, the elder brother jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue him. Unfortunately, both brothers were overwhelmed by the deep water and drowned, leaving the entire village in mourning.
Brothers Had Gone to Visit the Fields
According to family members and villagers, the two brothers left home on Thursday afternoon to visit nearby agricultural fields. With pleasant weather prevailing in the area, several children had gone outdoors to spend time near the fields. On reaching the water-filled pond, Priyanshu decided to take a swim.
