Warrant-Holders Pintu Das and Sunil Mandal Arrested, Sent to Jail
Goradih (Bhagalpur): The police in the Goradih police station area of Bhagalpur district have achieved a significant success as part of their ongoing special campaign against crime and criminals. Late Saturday night, acting on a tip-off, the local police conducted a raid and apprehended two wanted warrant-holders. The arrested individuals have been identified as Pintu Das and Sunil Mandal, who had been evading the law for a considerable time.
Police Siege Based on Secret Information
Goradih Station House Officer (SHO) Deepak Paswan stated that the police had been receiving information for some time about these two warrant-holders hiding in the area. As soon as the police received precise intelligence regarding their hideout on Saturday night, a special team was formed under the leadership of the SHO. Without delay, the police surrounded the location and arrested Pintu Das and Sunil Mandal red-handed.
Arrest Warrants Were Issued by the Court
The SHO informed that arrest warrants had already been issued against both accused by the concerned court. To avoid appearing in court and to escape police pressure, both individuals had been frequently changing their locations. They made every effort to evade the legal process, but their attempts failed in the face of the police's vigilance.
Accused Sent to Jail
Following the arrest, both individuals were brought to the police station late at night, where they were subjected to preliminary questioning. Subsequently, after completing the necessary legal formalities, both accused were sent to judicial custody on Sunday under heavy security. SHO Deepak Paswan clarified that identifying and taking strict action against wanted warrant-holders in the district is a priority, and this campaign will continue in the future.
This arrest has become a major topic of discussion among local residents. People in the area have praised the swift action taken by the police. Intellectuals and citizens of the region believe that the arrest of criminals who have been absconding for a long time will instill a fear of the law in the area and help curb criminal activities.
The police have once again made it clear that no criminal can stay out of the reach of the law for long. Furthermore, the Goradih police have pledged to maintain a close watch on anti-social elements in the region. The SHO has also appealed to the public to immediately inform the local police station if they receive any information regarding suspicious activities in their vicinity.
This action by the Goradih police is being viewed as part of broader efforts to control rising crime in the district. It remains to be seen how quickly the legal net will tighten around other absconding criminals in the area following this arrest.
