Residents of Ward No. 2 Stage Protest Over Lack of Road and Drain Construction, Submit Memorandum to SDO
Vijay Rai, Benipur (Darbhanga): Residents of Ward No. 2 in the Benipur Municipal Council area of Darbhanga district staged a protest demanding the construction of roads and drainage facilities. Frustrated by years of inadequate civic infrastructure, dozens of local residents organized a peaceful sit-in demonstration, alleging that the absence of proper roads and drains has resulted in persistent waterlogging and unhygienic conditions, making daily life extremely difficult.
Following the protest, a delegation submitted a memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), urging the administration to begin road and drainage construction at the earliest. The protesters warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, they would be compelled to intensify their agitation.
Long-Pending Demand for Roads and Drainage
