3 Million Children to Participate for the First Time in ‘Know India’ and National Group Song Competitions Bharat Vikas Parishad Initiative; Competitions to Be Held on August 29 and 31 Through 1,600 Branches
Bhagalpur : The Bharat Vikas Parishad is organising the ‘Know India’ (Bharat Ko Jano) and National Group Song Competition across the country on a large scale this year. Around 3 million children are expected to participate in these competitions for the first time. Preparations are underway in Bhagalpur and other parts of the country. The initiative aims to increase students’ awareness of India’s history, culture, traditions and national values.
The competitions will be organised through around 1,600 branches of Bharat Vikas Parishad. Students from a large number of schools will participate and showcase their knowledge and talents. The initiative has generated enthusiasm among students, teachers and parents.
Competitions to Be Held on August 29 and 31
According to the organisers, the competitions will be conducted on August 29 and 31 as per the scheduled programme. Preparations are being carried out at the branch and school levels, while students are being informed about the format and subjects of the competitions.
The ‘Know India’ competition will test students on topics related to India’s history, geography, culture, great personalities, scientific achievements and national heritage. The objective is not only to enhance general knowledge but also to develop a deeper understanding and sense of pride in the country.
National Group Song to Promote Patriotism
The National Group Song Competition will provide students with an opportunity to perform patriotic and nationally themed songs collectively. Through group singing, organisers aim to promote discipline, teamwork and cooperation among students.
The organisers believe that music is an effective way to bring children together. Preparing and performing as a group helps students develop teamwork and leadership skills while encouraging a sense of collective responsibility.
Programme to Be Conducted Through 1,600 Branches
Around 1,600 branches of Bharat Vikas Parishad will play a role in conducting the competitions. Information about the events is being shared with schools and students through the branches, while local organising committees are making arrangements.
