Pappu Sahni Murder Case: Mukesh Sahni’s Major Allegation; Claims 'It Was a Fake Encounter, Case Being Suppressed with Collusion Between Police and Government'
Muzaffarpur: Vikasheel Insaan Party (VIP) Supremo and former minister Mukesh Sahni has once again launched a scathing attack on the state government and the police administration regarding the Pappu Sahni murder case. Expressing deep frustration over the lack of concrete action against the culprits even four months after the incident, Mukesh Sahni has termed it a "fake encounter." He claimed that this was not a genuine police action, but a well-planned conspiracy that is being covered up with the active connivance of the police.
Waiting for Justice After Four Months
Speaking at a program in Muzaffarpur, Mukesh Sahni stated that the manner in which the police have framed Pappu Sahni's death as an 'encounter' is highly suspicious. He remarked, "Four months have passed, yet the grieving family is still running from pillar to post for justice. The administration's silence proves that they are busy protecting the perpetrators."
He further added that it has become a common trend for the administration to craft an 'encounter' story whenever an innocent life is lost, and the same old script was followed in this case to avoid an impartial investigation.
Raising Questions on the Role of the Government and Police
Targeting the Bihar government, Mukesh Sahni said that the law and order situation in the state has deteriorated. Levelling serious allegations against the police's methodology, he highlighted:
Negligence in Investigation: Even after so much time, no senior official has conducted a thorough investigation into the matter.
Tampering with Evidence: Sahni alleged that attempts have been made to erase or alter evidence so that the real culprits remain hidden.
Protection of the Guilty: He explicitly accused the authorities of providing protection to the murderers, which is why they are still roaming free.
Warning of Protest if Justice is Denied
Mukesh Sahni stated in no uncertain terms that if the administration does not initiate a high-level inquiry (such as one by the CBI or any other independent agency) and arrest the culprits soon, the VIP party will not remain silent. He warned that they would take to the streets and force the government to comply. He emphasized that Pappu Sahni's sacrifice would not go in vain and that his struggle would continue until the family receives justice.
The Ordeal of the Victim's Family
The victim's family, who were present with Mukesh Sahni, shared their plight, stating that they have lost all hope in the police. The family alleges that the police are applying various pressures on them to weaken the case. Significant resentment was also visible among the local public, who demanded a fair and transparent investigation from the government.
The Pappu Sahni murder case is rapidly becoming a major political issue. Mukesh Sahni’s aggressive stance has increased the difficulties for the local administration. It remains to be seen whether the government takes concrete steps in this matter or if this issue becomes the foundation for a larger public movement. Questions regarding the administration's silence are inevitable, as delayed justice is akin to justice denied.
