Student Welfare to Remain the Top Priority
Addressing the gathering, MSU leaders reiterated that the organization has consistently worked for students' rights, quality education, and transparency in university administration. They stated that the new executive committee has been formed with the objective of addressing students' grievances more effectively and ensuring that their concerns are presented before the university administration in a stronger and more organized manner.
The speakers highlighted several issues currently affecting students, including delays in examinations and results, irregularities in the admission process, poor hostel facilities, inadequate library resources, lack of clean drinking water and sanitation, irregular academic sessions, and insufficient classroom infrastructure. The newly elected team pledged to prioritize these issues and work toward their timely resolution.
Gautam Jha Expresses Gratitude
After being elected as the University President, Gautam Jha thanked the organization's senior leaders and members for placing their trust in him. He assured everyone that he would carry out his responsibilities with honesty, dedication, and commitment.
He said that MSU is not merely an organization that stages protests but also believes in offering constructive suggestions to improve the functioning of the university. According to him, if the university administration responds positively to students' concerns, the organization will extend full cooperation. However, if student issues continue to be ignored, MSU will intensify its democratic movement.
Jha emphasized that his primary objective would be to improve the academic environment, ensure timely examinations and publication of results, and promote greater transparency in university administration.
Adarsh Mishra Outlines Organizational Priorities
Newly appointed General Secretary Adarsh Mishra said the executive committee would act as a strong bridge between students and the university administration. He assured that every student's concern would be heard carefully and appropriate efforts would be made to secure timely solutions.
He stated that the organization would focus on ensuring a regular academic calendar, timely examinations and result declarations, better digital facilities, improved research infrastructure, transparent scholarship distribution, and addressing the concerns of postgraduate and research students.
Strategy Finalized for the ‘LNMU Chalo’ Movement
One of the major agendas of the meeting was the planning of the proposed ‘LNMU Chalo’ student movement. Leaders explained that the campaign would not be limited to demonstrations alone but would also include an extensive awareness and outreach program across colleges affiliated with the university.
MSU members will visit constituent and affiliated colleges to interact directly with students, collect information about their problems, and mobilize support for the movement.
The organization stated that if the university administration fails to respond positively to students' demands, a peaceful and democratic agitation will be launched at the university level.
Emphasis on Organizational Expansion
The meeting also focused on strengthening the organization by expanding its presence across all constituent and affiliated colleges under LNMU.
Leaders announced that a large-scale membership drive would be launched to connect more students with the organization. Student representatives at the college level will also receive leadership and organizational training to enable them to address local issues more effectively.
According to the organization, a stronger grassroots network will make it easier to raise students' concerns before the university administration.
Demand for Educational Reforms
During the meeting, speakers stressed that the university's primary responsibility is to provide quality education. They emphasized the need for regular classes, adequate faculty appointments, modernization of libraries, improvement of laboratory facilities, and expansion of digital learning infrastructure.
MSU leaders argued that students' future depends not only on timely examinations but also on high-quality teaching, better academic resources, and employment-oriented education. They pledged to continue advocating for these reforms.
Commitment to Democratic Protest
The organization reaffirmed its commitment to democratic methods of protest. Leaders said dialogue with the university administration would always be the first approach. If meaningful action is not taken despite repeated discussions, the organization will organize peaceful demonstrations, awareness campaigns, and public protests.
They clarified that the objective of the movement is not confrontation but ensuring that students' genuine concerns receive the attention they deserve.
Appeal to Students
MSU leaders urged students to remain united and actively participate in efforts to improve the university's academic environment. They said meaningful reforms are only possible when students stand together and collectively raise their voices.
Students were encouraged to join the organization and contribute to campaigns aimed at improving education quality, ensuring administrative transparency, and strengthening the academic system.
New Executive Committee Raises Expectations
The announcement of the new executive committee generated enthusiasm among members and supporters of the organization. Students expressed hope that the new leadership would effectively represent their concerns and play a significant role in improving the university's educational environment.
Education experts also believe that if student organizations continue to work constructively, stronger cooperation between students and the university administration can lead to meaningful academic reforms.
A New Direction for Student Politics
The reorganization of the Mithila Student Union's university executive committee is being viewed as an important development in student politics at Lalit Narayan Mithila University. The organization has reiterated that its primary mission is not electoral politics but the protection of students' rights, promotion of quality education, administrative transparency, and improvement of the overall academic atmosphere.
Through the ‘LNMU Chalo’ campaign, MSU plans to highlight major issues affecting students and continue its movement in a phased and democratic manner until appropriate solutions are implemented. With the formation of the new executive committee, the organization has signaled that its activities and advocacy for student welfare are expected to intensify across the university in the coming months.
