Lack of Drain Construction and Drainage: Local residents and pilgrims state that permanent drains have not been constructed along the edges of this main route. As a result, wastewater flowing out of homes and shops continues to spill directly onto the Kanwaria path, turning the entire route into a quagmire.

The menace of mosquitoes has escalated to such an extent that the threat of vector-borne diseases like malaria and dengue remains constantly elevated.
Impact on Business: Shopkeepers report that because mud and dirty water are strewn right outside their shops, customers hesitate to visit, severely hurting their daily livelihoods.

Such a pathetic condition of this vital route, used for the transit of millions of pilgrims, raises major questions regarding the functioning of the local administration and concerned departments:
Only Paper Promises: Local residents accuse public representatives and the local administration of repeatedly pleading for permanent drain construction and a permanent solution to the water drainage problem along this route, only to receive empty assurances every time.
Neglect of the Fair Zone: Whenever the Kanwaria fair or special religious festivals draw near, temporary cleaning formalities are completed, but no permanent engineering or drainage system is developed on the ground.
Major Demands of Local Residents and Kanwarias
Afflicted by this grave problem, the public has now begun to voice its opposition against the administration:
Arrangement for Immediate Drainage: Stagnant water should be cleared immediately using pumps or other alternative means.
Construction of Permanent Drains: Permanent drains should be constructed on both sides of the Kanwaria path on a war footing so that dirty water never spills onto the road again.
