A beautiful blend of art, culture, and women's empowerment was witnessed yesterday at the magnificent premises of 'Ziccho The Grand Royal', a renowned celebration venue in the Silk City of Bhagalpur. A grand, one-day cultural and literary program was organized by 'Samvet Mahila Rang Sakhi', a leading organization of female theatre artists and cultural practitioners.

This dignified ceremony was attended by enlightened women, female artists, theatre personalities, and social workers from across the district. The primary objective of the event was to empower women's participation in society through art and theatre, provide a platform for hidden talents, and preserve local folk culture and heritage. A series of spectacular performances were delivered throughout the event, leaving the audience completely spellbound.

 Opening Session: Concluding with the Lighting of the Lamp

The program commenced in a deeply spiritual and graceful atmosphere following rich Indian traditions. The event was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp jointly by the chief guests and senior officials of 'Samvet Mahila Rang Sakhi'.

Immediately after the inauguration, a melodious Ganesh Vandana was performed by the young artists of the organization. Since the event was being hosted in the soil of the Ang region, glimpses of the rich 'Angika culture' were vividly on display. The artists transformed the atmosphere into a grand festival by singing traditional wedding songs, Jhumar, and Sohar. This was followed by a synchronization of group folk dances, where the traditional attire and graceful dance movements of the women won everyone's heart.

Street Plays and Short Dramas:

'Samvet Mahila Rang Sakhi' is an organization primarily dedicated to the world of theatre. On this occasion, they presented a deeply moving short play touching upon sensitive social issues such as the status of women in society, female foeticide, the right to education, and domestic violence.
