Ensuring Government Schemes Reach the Last Person Is Our Top Priority, Says DM Kumar Gaurav During Review Meeting
Muzaffarpur: District Magistrate Kumar Gaurav has emphasized that ensuring the benefits of government welfare schemes reach the last person in society remains the district administration's highest priority. Chairing a comprehensive review meeting on the implementation of various development programs, the DM directed officials to perform their duties with responsibility, transparency, and accountability while achieving all targets within the stipulated time frame.
The meeting, held at the District Collectorate, was attended by district-level officers, Block Development Officers (BDOs), Circle Officers (COs), and officials from various government departments. During the session, the District Magistrate conducted a detailed review of the progress of multiple welfare and development schemes and instructed officials to expedite pending work.
Comprehensive Review of Development Schemes
During the meeting, the District Magistrate reviewed the implementation of schemes related to education, healthcare, rural development, agriculture, drinking water, road construction, social security, MGNREGA, housing, and other public welfare initiatives.
He said that the objective of government schemes is not merely to utilize allocated funds but to bring meaningful improvements in the lives of citizens. He instructed officials to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of these schemes without discrimination or unnecessary delay.
Benefits Must Reach Every Eligible Citizen
DM Kumar Gaurav stated that the true success of the administration would be measured by its ability to deliver government benefits to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged sections of society.
He directed officials to conduct regular field visits, interact with beneficiaries, and resolve implementation-related issues on the spot. According to him, many deserving individuals remain deprived of welfare benefits due to a lack of awareness, making public outreach and awareness campaigns equally important.

The District Magistrate instructed all officers to discharge their responsibilities with complete dedication and professionalism. He warned that negligence, unnecessary delays, or laxity in implementing government schemes would not be tolerated.
Officials were directed to closely monitor the progress of projects under their respective departments and submit periodic progress reports. Departments lagging behind were asked to take immediate corrective measures to accelerate implementation.

The DM emphasized that there should be no compromise on the quality of development projects. Construction of roads, public buildings, drinking water facilities, schools, healthcare centers, and other public infrastructure must strictly adhere to prescribed standards.

The District Magistrate also stressed the importance of timely resolution of public grievances. He stated that addressing citizens' concerns efficiently is one of the administration's primary responsibilities.
Officials were directed to ensure that complaints received through public grievance forums, online portals, and other channels are resolved within the prescribed timeframe. No complaint should remain pending without valid reasons.
