Atmosphere Filled with Devotion in Shyampur Mukherjee Tola; MLA Shubhanand Mukesh Inaugurates Grand Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple

KAHALGAON (Bhagalpur): A new center of faith, belief, and devotion has been established in Mukherjee Tola, under the Shyampur Panchayat of the Kahalgaon block. On Friday, following the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of the newly constructed grand Panchmukhi Hanuman temple, local MLA Shubhanand Mukesh formally inaugurated the temple by cutting the ribbon. On this auspicious occasion, the entire area resonated with chants of "Jai Shri Ram" and "Jai Bajrang Bali." The massive crowd of devotees that gathered for the inauguration ceremony made the event truly historic.

Pran Pratishtha: Atmosphere Echoes with Vedic Chants

A three-day ritual had been organized leading up to the inauguration of the temple. On Friday morning, amidst the Vedic chanting of Acharyas and Brahmins, the Pran Pratishtha of the idol of Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji was performed. As the chief hosts (Yajman), Prabhash Chandra Mukherjee and his wife performed the rituals with full devotion. After offering oblations in the sacrificial altar (Yajna Mandap), the idol was installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, after which the doors were opened for public worship.

MLA’s Honor and Resolve

MLA Shubhanand Mukesh, present as the chief guest, received a grand welcome from the local villagers. After the inauguration, the MLA entered the sanctum sanctorum to seek the blessings of Bajrang Bali. In his address, the MLA said, "The establishment of this divine temple in Shyampur’s Mukherjee Tola will not only foster religious consciousness but will also become a symbol of social harmony and peace."

He further added that preserving religion and culture is a collective responsibility. He praised the villagers who played an active role in the temple's construction and announced that he would provide all possible support for the development and beautification of the temple premises.

Enthusiasm Among Devotees and a Sea of People

From the early hours of the morning, devotees began to arrive from dozens of neighboring villages. According to the temple committee, thousands of men, women, and children participated in the inauguration ceremony. Special arrangements were made for devotees arriving from far and wide. Devotees were left spellbound by the grandeur of the sanctum sanctorum and the ethereal idol of Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji.

A massive community feast (Bhandara) was also organized during the ceremony, where long queues of devotees waited to receive the Prasad. The program, which continued until the evening, featured devotional songs (Bhajans) performed by local folk artists, immersing the entire atmosphere in divinity.

Villagers from Mukherjee Tola shared that the construction of this temple was made possible through public cooperation. The chief host, Prabhash Chandra Mukherjee, said emotionally, "This temple is not just a structure of bricks and stones; it is the result of the devotion of all us villagers. For a long time, the people of the village had been wishing for a center where everyone could sit and pray together." He expressed special gratitude to the donors and workers who contributed to this cause.

The architectural style of the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple has also become a center of attraction. The grand dome of the temple and the intricate carvings on it are a sight to behold. Local residents believe that the construction of this temple will also promote religious tourism in the area. People from the vicinity will now regularly visit for prayers, which will infuse a positive and spiritual energy into the village.

Given the massive turnout, the local administration and volunteers from the temple committee had made robust security arrangements. Dedicated teams were deployed to ensure no one faced any inconvenience.
