Concerns Regarding Unsafe Travel in the Region
There is significant outrage and concern among the local residents following this incident. Accidents frequently occur on the Udhadih route due to the high speed of Totos and autos. Eyewitnesses state that e-rickshaw drivers in Sultaniganj are currently operating vehicles without any training or regard for traffic rules.
Often, Toto drivers risk the lives of pedestrians by overtaking from the wrong side of the road and taking sharp turns at high speeds. Intellectuals and citizens of the area have demanded that the administration and local police implement stricter rules for Toto drivers and conduct periodic checking drives on the roads to prevent the recurrence of such accidents in the future.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Sultaniganj police also reached the spot. The police inspected the accident site and have taken the damaged Toto into their custody. The police are currently investigating the matter and gathering information regarding the driver. The families of the victims are in deep distress and are demanding appropriate action from the administration in this matter.
