Tragic Road Accident in Ahiyapur Police Station Area of Muzaffarpur: Dumper Rams into Auto on NH 77, One Dead and Several Injured

A heart-wrenching road accident has come to light on National Highway 77 (NH 77) under the Ahiyapur police station area. A speeding and out-of-control dumper hit an auto-rickshaw forcefully. Due to this horrific collision, the auto was completely mangled, and tragedy struck the people riding in it. In this tragic accident, a person named Santosh Kumar died on the spot or during treatment, while several other people, including his wife Chulbul Devi, were seriously injured.
Atmosphere of Mourning and Cries on the Road
Following the incident, chaos and a traffic jam ensued on the national highway for a brief period. The impact of the dumper's collision was so severe that the auto was badly damaged, and upon hearing the cries of the passengers sitting inside, nearby local people rushed immediately to help. According to eyewitnesses, the accident was so horrific that it sent shudders down the spines of onlookers. Upon receiving the news of Santosh Kumar's death, wailing broke out in his family, and the relatives are inconsolable. A happy family was shattered in a single moment.
Injured Admitted to Hospital, Treatment Ongoing
Upon receiving information about the accident, the police from the Ahiyapur police station reached the spot, and with the help of locals, immediately admitted all the seriously injured people—including Chulbul Devi, the wife of the deceased Santosh Kumar—to a nearby hospital. Treatment for all the injured is underway under the supervision of doctors. The condition of some of the injured remains critical, and it is being said that they might be referred to a larger medical institution for better treatment.
Police Action and Investigation of the Case
The police have identified the dumper involved in the accident and initiated action to trace and seize the vehicle. Meanwhile, the deceased's body has been taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem examination. Police officials state that an FIR has been registered and continuous raids are being conducted to apprehend the absconding dumper driver. This accident once again highlights the grim consequences of uncontrolled speeding and the disregard for road safety rules.
