Theft Worth Lakhs Alleged at Tej Pratap Yadav’s Patna Residence, Personal Assistant Named in FIR

A formal complaint has been lodged at the Secretariat Police Station, and the police have launched an investigation.
According to the complaint filed by Tej Pratap Yadav, approximately ₹20 lakh in cash, a two-tola gold chain, a gold ring, an iPad, a MacBook, a laptop, and an iPhone were stolen from his official residence at 42 Harding Road in Patna. He has directly named his personal assistant, Motilal Rai, as the accused in the case.
In his written statement to the police, Tej Pratap alleged that Motilal Rai, a resident of Bishanpur Said Ali Maniarpur village in Vaishali district and son of Punjabi Rai, had been working closely with him for a long time. He claimed that Rai took advantage of the trust placed in him and stole the valuables from the residence.
According to the complaint, the cash and valuables were kept in an almirah at the residence. On June 22, the money and other items were found missing. After an internal search failed to locate the belongings, suspicion fell on Motilal Rai, leading to the filing of the police complaint.
Tej Pratap Yadav further stated that on the night of the incident, around 11:30 p.m., his driver Anil Yadav and another staff member, Vishal, allegedly saw Motilal Rai carrying a bag and climbing over the boundary wall of the residence. Both individuals have been cited as witnesses in the case.
Upon receiving the complaint, officials from the Secretariat Police Station visited the residence and began a preliminary investigation. Police inspected various parts of the house and gathered details regarding the alleged theft. Tej Pratap personally briefed the officers about the incident and showed them the locations from where the items were reportedly stolen.
