Silk City Immersed in Yoga; Huge Turnout at Bhagalpur’s Sandis Compound for 12th International Day of Yoga

Bhagalpur: On June 21, 2026, the Sandis Compound ground in Bhagalpur was painted in the colors of yoga on the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga. Hundreds of people, in the presence of Bihar’s Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, participated in a mass yoga session and pledged to lead a healthy life.

Grand Celebration: The massive yoga camp organized at Sandis Compound was inaugurated with the lighting of a lamp by Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, alongside former Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey, MLA Rohit Pandey, MLC NK Yadav, and BJP leader Arijit Shashwat Choubey.

Led by Experts: The session was conducted under the guidance of renowned yoga guru Dheeraj Vashishtha. He led the participants through various Pranayam exercises, Surya Namaskar, and other asanas centered around this year's theme: "Yoga for Healthy Aging."

Minister's Message: In his address, Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha stated that yoga is an invaluable gift of Sanatan culture that establishes a balance between the body, mind, and nature. He placed special emphasis on the role of yoga in making India a developed and energetic nation.

Administrative and Public Participation: The District Magistrate and other administrative officials participated in the camp. They motivated the citizens not to treat yoga as a one-day celebration, but to make it an integral part of their daily routine.
