Second Theft at Kanti Naresh Kanya Middle School; Thieves Steal Sports Equipment, Fans, and Utensils

Bihpur (Bhagalpur): The streak of thefts at Kanti Naresh Kanya Middle School, located under the Bihpur block of Bhagalpur district, shows no signs of stopping. For the second time in a short period, the school has been targeted by thieves. This time, the culprits broke into the gymnasium and the Headmaster's office. The incident has caused significant outrage among the school management and local parents.

What Happened?

The incident came to light on Saturday morning when school staff arrived at the premises. They discovered that the locks on the gymnasium and the Headmaster's office had been broken. Upon inspection, it was revealed that thieves had made off with valuable sports equipment and other items from the gym. Furthermore, they entered the Headmaster's office and stole ceiling fans, as well as essential cooking utensils used for the Mid-Day Meal program.

Panic Due to Recurring Incidents

This is the second such theft at the school, raising serious concerns about the security arrangements. Local villagers argue that the repetition of these incidents demonstrates that the thieves are bold and are targeting government property with complete impunity. The loss of school assets is now adversely affecting the students' education and sports activities.

Management Action: Complaint Filed at Jhandapur Police Station

Taking the matter seriously, the school management immediately informed the Jhandapur police. The Headmaster submitted a written complaint to the Jhandapur police station, seeking to register an FIR against unknown persons. The complaint includes an inventory of the stolen goods, and the school has demanded that the police solve the case as soon as possible.

The Headmaster stated that despite reporting previous thefts, no arrests have been made, nor has any of the stolen property been recovered. These recurring incidents are significantly disrupting the academic environment of the school.

Police Response and Investigation

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Jhandapur police arrived at the scene to conduct an inspection. The police have begun an investigation, collecting potential forensic evidence. The Station House Officer (SHO) stated that they are questioning suspects and expressed confidence that the gang will be identified and the stolen goods recovered soon. The police have also appealed to villagers and residents living near the school to report any suspicious activity immediately.

Questions Raised on Security

This latest theft has once again raised questions about the security of government schools. Villagers have noted that such incidents are occurring due to the lack of a night guard at the school. They have urged the Education Department to appoint a security guard immediately and repair the school's boundary walls to prevent any future recurrences.

For now, the school management and the villagers are closely monitoring the police investigation. Their primary focus is to ensure the arrest of the antisocial elements responsible for compromising the students' future.
