Saran’s Manoranjan Kumar Sah Clinches SDM Post in BPSC Exam; Waves of Joy in the Region

 Manoranjan Kumar Sah, a resident of Asahni village under the Ekma block of Saran district, has brought immense pride to his region by clearing the 70th Combined Competitive Examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Manoranjan secured the 341st rank in the General category and an impressive 2nd rank in the ST (Scheduled Tribe) category. With this stellar performance, he has been selected for the prestigious post of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).

The most inspiring aspect of Manoranjan’s achievement is his reliance on self-study. Defying the popular trend, he did not enroll in any coaching institutes. Instead, he prepared entirely from home, leveraging the internet and standard reference books. Cracking one of the state's toughest exams through pure self-determination serves as a powerful blueprint for civil services aspirants today.

Celebrations Erupt Among Family and Locals

Manoranjan’s father, Umashankar Sah, works as a Supervisor in the Irrigation Department of the Uttar Pradesh government, while his mother, Suman Devi, is a homemaker. As soon as the news of his selection as an SDM broke, celebrations erupted across the village. Congratulatory messages and visitors have been pouring into their residence. His parents credited the success to Manoranjan’s unwavering hard work and divine blessings.

An Alumnus of Navodaya Vidyalaya

Manoranjan has maintained an excellent academic record since childhood. He completed his schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and went on to earn his engineering degree from the prestigious Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) in Kanpur. Soon after graduating, he channeled his focus entirely toward preparing for the civil services.

 Expressing his joy, Manoranjan stated that with the right direction, strong resolve, and honest effort, one can clear any major competitive exam without the aid of expensive coaching.
