This entire case pertains to the Sakra block area of Muzaffarpur district. According to available information, employment servant Jitendra Kumar was responsible for managing MGNREGA schemes and related tasks. During this time, he demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a beneficiary or local individual to advance MGNREGA work or ensure its payment.
Complaint to Vigilance: The aggrieved person was unwilling to pay the bribe, so he filed a secret complaint directly with the Vigilance Investigation Bureau of the Government of Bihar.
Verification and Formation of Trap Team: The vigilance team conducted a confidential verification of the complainant's grievance. Once the complaint was found to be true, a special trap team led by a DSP-rank officer was constituted.

As per the plan, on Wednesday, the complainant reached employment servant Jitendra Kumar with the pre-decided bribe amount of Rs 20,000 according to the strategy laid out by the vigilance team.
Caught Red-Handed: As soon as employment servant Jitendra Kumar accepted the bribe amount of Rs 20,000 from the complainant near Sabha Chowk, the vigilance team—lying in wait in plainclothes—immediately surrounded him from all sides and apprehended him.
Recovery of Cash: The vigilance team recovered the chemical-treated Rs 20,000 bribe money from the accused. This sudden action caused a commotion at the spot, gathering a large crowd.
Administrative Message Against Corruption and Further Action
Immediately following the arrest, the vigilance team took the accused employment servant Jitendra Kumar into custody and departed for Muzaffarpur. Per the rules of the Vigilance Investigation Bureau, the accused will now be produced before the Special Vigilance Court in Muzaffarpur.
