The political verbal warfare in Bihar has intensified ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Secretary and senior leader Rituraj Sinha launched a scathing attack on Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj Campaign and a poll strategist-turned-politician.
Addressing a public gathering and party workers' convention in Patna's high-profile Bankipur Assembly constituency, Rituraj Sinha clearly stated, "Prashant Kishor spent his entire life strategizing and winning elections for others. He has been a professional consultant, but the voters of Bankipur will no longer be misled by a high-profile consultant or strategist. The respected people of Bankipur need a true servant of the public (sewadar), not an advisor (salahkar)."
A World of Difference Between 'Making Strategies' and 'Serving on the Ground'
Questioning Prashant Kishor's political journey, Rituraj Sinha remarked that someone who spent decades behind the scenes orchestrating politics in a corporate style cannot suddenly step onto the ground and claim to be a genuine sympathizer of the people.
He further added that the citizens of Bankipur and Patna are politically aware. The voters here know who is the reliable 'servant' willing to help them even at midnight, and who is merely an 'advisor' making tall claims during election season.
Serious Questions Raised Over Jan Suraaj's Style of Functioning
During his address, the BJP leader also took a swipe at Prashant Kishor's 'Jan Suraaj Padyatra'. He stated that a 'high-profile march' conducted with luxury car convoys, high-tech tents, and air-conditioned camps cannot uplift the poor, backward, and middle-class people of Bihar.
Rituraj Sinha alleged that Prashant Kishor's 'Jan Suraaj' is not a social movement, but merely a tool for 'political rebranding.'
The Reality Behind the Scenes: "Those who claimed to make others win until yesterday are now scrambling to find ground for themselves."
Charge of Capitalist Politics: "You cannot win people's hearts solely through high-tech PR agencies and advertisements. To win hearts, you have to sweat it out among the masses."
Bankipur: A Stronghold of the BJP and a Model of Development
Highlighting the significance of the Bankipur Assembly seat, Rituraj Sinha emphasized that this area has always been a traditional and invincible fortress for the BJP and NDA. The people of Bankipur have consistently chosen national ideology, development, and good governance.
Highlighting the developmental work done in the region, he noted:
Infrastructure Development: Significant improvements have been made to roads, overbridges, and drainage systems in this central part of Patna.
Safety for Traders: Under NDA rule, the strengthened law-and-order situation provided a fear-free environment for the business community in Bankipur.
Ganga Riverfront & Smart City: The Smart City project and the development of the Ganga Riverfront have transformed the face of Bankipur.
Sinha remarked that Bankipur is defined by its enlightened citizens, business community, and youth. The people here choose an 'experienced servant of the public', not someone distributing strategy leaflets during election season.
"Bihar Needs Development, Not Political Experiments"
Speaking on the current political scenario in Bihar, Sinha asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government and the NDA Government in Bihar are working together to build a 'Developed Bihar'. The double-engine government is directly benefiting the entire state, including Bankipur.
Jibe at the Opposition and Attempts for a Third Alternative
Dismissing Prashant Kishor’s claims of emerging as a third alternative in Bihar, Rituraj Sinha remarked that politics in Bihar is crystal clear. On one side, there is Development and Good Governance (NDA), and on the other, a History of Misrule and Appeasement (Mahagathbandhan).
The people of Bihar have no time for any third alternative or an 'event-management-based party'. The voters of Bankipur were vigilant in the past and continue to stand firmly with the BJP today.
Infusing New Energy into Party Workers
Towards the end of the event, Rituraj Sinha expressed his gratitude to the BJP's booth-level workers and revitalized their enthusiasm. He stated that every single BJP worker is a 'servant of the public' in themselves, serving people selflessly.
Strengthening the Booth Level: Workers were urged to go door-to-door and inform citizens about the welfare schemes of the Central and State governments.
Public Outreach Drive: A blueprint was prepared to run a campaign based on the motto 'Service is Organization' across every ward and neighborhood of Bankipur.
