'Photo Identity Cards' for All Students in Government Schools; Facilities for Divyang (Disabled) Students to be Completely Free
SULTANGANJ (Bhagalpur): Following the directives of the Bihar Education Department and under the leadership of Block Education Officer (BEO) Tanu Kumari, a new and significant initiative has been launched for students studying in all government schools of the Sultanganj block. The task of creating 'Photo Identity Cards' for all students is being launched on a war footing. The objective of this move is not only to ensure the safety of the students but also to instill a sense of new identity and discipline among them.
Why are Identity Cards Necessary?
While providing detailed information about the scheme, Block Education Officer Tanu Kumari stated that this decision was taken to formalize the identification of students in government schools. With the help of identity cards, the school management will have an official database for every student. The benefits are as follows:
Security and Identification: This card will be a vital document for identifying students in any emergency or while they are outside the school campus.
Discipline: Wearing the identity card around their necks will instill a sense of discipline and pride in the students toward their school.

The department has issued clear instructions regarding the production process of these identity cards. BEO Tanu Kumari stated that a fee of Rs 40 per student has been fixed for the identity card.
Emphasis on Transparency: The BEO has given strict instructions to all headmasters to provide receipts for the amount collected from students and ensure that the entire account of the fees is recorded in the school's cash book. She clarified that any kind of financial irregularity in this work will not be tolerated.
Special Sensitivity Toward Divyang Students
The Block Education Officer has added an extremely commendable aspect to this scheme. She clarified that this identity card will be provided completely free of cost to Divyang (disabled) students. The department has issued special guidelines to ensure that there is no financial burden on these children. Instructions to Headmasters
According to the order issued by the BEO office, all headmasters will have to fulfill the following tasks:
Data Collection: Compile the photographs and necessary details (name, class, father's name, address) of the students in their respective schools as soon as possible.
Timeframe: A target has been set to complete the identity card work within the stipulated time frame.
Verification: The card should be sent for printing only after correcting errors in photographs and the spelling of names.
