Passing Out Parade of 952 Female Constables Held at BMP-13, Laheriasarai; A Wonderful Confluence of Enthusiasm and Discipline
Darbhanga: The parade ground of BMP-13 (Bihar Military Police) in Laheriasarai became a witness to a historic moment on Sunday. During the grand passing out parade held here, 952 female trainee constables successfully completed their training and became an integral part of the Bihar Police force. The spirit of service to the nation in their eyes and the glow of discipline on their faces were clearly visible.
36 Months of Rigorous Discipline
The journey for these female constables was not easy. Over the course of the rigorous 36-month training period, they learned the nuances of physical fitness, weapon handling, legal procedures, and how to handle adverse situations. They were not only made physically strong but also mentally prepared to protect the nation.
As these constables marched in perfect synchronization during the parade, the entire campus echoed with the sound of thunderous applause. Their spectacular performance proved that the daughters of Bihar are now fully capable of taking command of security in every sphere.
The Proud Presence of DM Kaushal Kumar
Darbhanga District Magistrate Kaushal Kumar, present as the chief guest, took the salute of the passing out parade. In his address, the DM said:
"Today is a moment of pride for the Bihar Police and these 952 female constables. These trainees came here from various districts of Bihar, where they have worked hard for three years. Now, they will go to their respective fields of duty to play a vital role in strengthening law and order and creating an environment of security in society."
The District Magistrate further stated that police service is not just a job but a great path of service, which these women have chosen. He expressed hope that they would bring glory to the department through their efficiency and integrity.
Nature of Training: What Did They Learn?
Officials of BMP-13 stated that in this 36-month training program, they were prepared at several levels:
Physical Training: Long-distance running, obstacle courses, and physical endurance drills.
Weapon Training: Practice in handling modern weapons, their maintenance, and combat skills.
Legal Education: Legal knowledge related to the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, criminal procedure, and police conduct.
Public Relations: Training in interacting with the general public with courtesy and sensitivity.
Daughters from Various Districts, One Resolve
What is noteworthy is that these 952 women have come from different corners of Bihar. Moving from rural backgrounds to donning the police uniform is a matter of pride for their families as well. After the parade, when these constables saw their family members, tears of joy welled up in their eyes. For their parents, seeing their daughters become the protectors of the state was like a dream come true.
Increased Participation of Women in the Police Force
This is considered a major step toward women's empowerment in Bihar. With the induction of such a large number of female constables, female representation in police stations and security forces will increase, making it more convenient for female victims to voice their concerns. This change will make the state's police force more inclusive and sensitive.
Future Challenges and Commitment
With the conclusion of the passing out parade, the process for the first posting of these constables will begin. The Commandant of BMP-13 mentioned that these personnel will now be deployed in various districts of Bihar, where they will be tasked with maintaining peace and order during festivals, elections, and other sensitive occasions.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. The BMP-13 campus in Laheriasarai was filled with new energy and hope today. The resolve of these 952 female constables will provide a new direction to the strength of the Bihar Police.
