Online Applications Open for Eligible Minority Students in Bihar; Financial Assistance of Up to ₹15,000 to Be Provided
Patna: The Minority Welfare Department of the Bihar Government has launched the online application process for the Chief Minister Student Incentive Scheme 2026, aimed at encouraging meritorious students from the minority community to pursue higher education. Eligible candidates can now submit their applications through the e-Kalyan portal, which has been opened for applications from July 31, 2026.
The scheme is designed to provide financial assistance to deserving students and motivate them to continue their education. The department believes that this support will help reduce financial barriers and encourage students to achieve higher academic goals.
Who Is Eligible for the Scheme?
According to the Minority Welfare Department, minority (Muslim) girl students who have passed the Intermediate examination with First Division from the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) will receive an incentive amount of ₹15,000 under the scheme.
Similarly, girl students who have passed the Maulvi examination with First Division from the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board will also be eligible for an incentive of ₹15,000.
In addition, minority boys and girls who have passed the Fauquania examination with First Division will receive ₹10,000 as financial assistance.

Furthermore, the bank account must be maintained at a nationalized bank, a recognized private bank, or an India Post Payments Bank branch located in Bihar. Applications containing incorrect banking information or accounts that do not meet the eligibility requirements may face delays or rejection.

To ensure transparency and timely payment, the government will disburse the incentive amount through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and RTGS systems.
