Darbhanga: The Bihar Government continues to strengthen rural governance and improve public service delivery across villages. In line with this initiative, Bihar Panchayati Raj Minister Deepak Prakash inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Government Building in Pakri Panchayat under Alinagar block of Darbhanga district. The inauguration ceremony was attended by local public representatives, administrative officials, panchayat members, and a large number of villagers.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Deepak Prakash said that the Panchayat Government Building is not merely an administrative structure but a new center for rural development and good governance. He emphasized that with the building becoming operational, villagers will no longer have to make repeated trips to the block or district headquarters for routine administrative work. Residents will now be able to access services related to birth and death certificates, housing schemes, social security pensions, the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), the Har Ghar Nal Jal Scheme, sanitation programs, and several other government welfare initiatives from a single location.
