NEET Examination Found More Difficult Than Last Year, Students Say Physics and Chemistry Were Challenging

Muzaffarpur: Students who appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) described this year’s examination as more difficult than the 2025 edition. After coming out of examination centers, a majority of candidates said that while the Biology section was relatively easy, Physics and Chemistry posed significant challenges. Many students also noted that questions were asked from topics that had not been emphasized in recent years, making the paper more demanding.

Candidates leaving various examination centers across Muzaffarpur expressed mixed reactions. While some considered the paper balanced, a large number felt that the overall difficulty level was higher than expected. According to students, the examination tested a broader range of concepts and required deeper subject knowledge than previous years.

Biology Provided Some Relief

Most students agreed that the Biology section was comparatively straightforward. A large number of questions were based directly on NCERT concepts, making the section manageable for those who had thoroughly studied the prescribed textbooks.

Candidates reported that many Biology questions were familiar and closely aligned with the syllabus. Although a few conceptual questions required careful thinking, the section was generally considered scoring.

One student said, “Biology was as expected. Anyone who had prepared NCERT thoroughly should be able to score well in this section.”

Physics Emerged as the Toughest Subject

According to many examinees, Physics was the most challenging section of the paper. The subject included numerous conceptual and numerical questions that required both strong analytical skills and considerable time to solve.

Students stated that several questions came from less frequently discussed topics, catching many candidates off guard. Due to the complexity of some problems, several students struggled with time management and were unable to attempt every question confidently.

A candidate remarked, “The Physics section was lengthy and difficult. Some questions took much longer to solve than expected, leaving less time for the other sections.”

Students described the Chemistry section as moderately difficult. Questions were distributed across Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry, with many requiring a deeper understanding of concepts rather than simple memorization.

Organic Chemistry, in particular, proved challenging for several candidates, while Physical Chemistry contained a significant number of calculation-based questions. Many students felt that those who relied solely on rote learning would have found the section difficult.

According to examinees, Chemistry required careful reading and application of concepts, making it more demanding than anticipated.
