Muzaffarpur: Muzaffarpur district got its new administrative head on Monday. Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Kumar Gaurav assumed office as the District Magistrate (DM) of Muzaffarpur. After taking charge, he clarified that the district's development and the smooth implementation of public welfare schemes would be the primary focus of his working style.

Speaking to journalists after assuming office, the newly appointed DM, Kumar Gaurav, said that Muzaffarpur is an important and rapidly developing district. Outlining his priorities, he stated, "My primary goal is to ensure that the benefits of all public welfare schemes of the government reach the person standing at the very last rung of society with complete transparency." He also pledged to further strengthen the district's law and order and accelerate the pace of development projects. He added that he would study the district's issues closely and ensure the prompt resolution of public grievances.

After handing over the charge, the outgoing District Magistrate, Subrat Kumar Sen, described his tenure as memorable.
