To maintain law and order during the mela and tackle the issue of traffic congestion in the city, the entire mela zone has been divided into different sectors for security purposes. In this sequence, official declarations have been made regarding separate traffic and parking locations for large and small vehicles arriving from Banka, Bhagalpur, Munger, and Patna.

Arrangements for Vehicles Arriving from Banka and Munger

Special routes and halting points have been designated for heavy and light vehicles arriving from Banka and the neighboring district of Munger (Asarganj region) during the Shravani Mela:

Halting of Large Vehicles: All large vehicles arriving from the direction of Banka and Munger (Asarganj) will be halted near 'Baba Chowk' close to the under-construction four-lane on the Bypass NH-80, preventing them from entering the city center and causing overcrowding.

Parking for Small Vehicles: Small vehicles arriving from Banka and Munger will also be parked primarily at the designated parking spot near Baba Chowk. Additionally, for other vehicles arriving via the Banka-Tarapur-Asarganj route, parking spots along the bypass road near Kamarganj Durga Sthan, Nonsar Basa, Nadarpur, Kamray Chowk, and Sultanganj have been secured.

Traffic Locations for Vehicles Arriving from Bhagalpur and Akbarnagar

The following locations have been designated for vehicles of devotees arriving in Sultanganj from the direction of Bhagalpur city and Akbarnagar:

Parking for Large Vehicles: Large commercial and private vehicles arriving from Bhagalpur and Akbarnagar will be parked at Domasi Trimuhani (Tilakpur), the Singla Company parking lot, and its adjacent bypass road premises.

Utilization of the Block Office Premises: To park small vehicles coming from Banka and Akbarnagar smoothly, the Block Office (Sultanganj) premises has been designated as the main parking zone, making it convenient for travelers to reach close to the banks of the Ganges.

Arrangements for Vehicles Arriving from Patna and Munger (Ghorghat)

A special traffic diversion has been enforced for vehicles arriving from the western direction, originating from the capital Patna and Ghorghat in Munger:

Krishnagarh and Masadi Bagicha Areas: For small vehicles and private cars arriving from Patna and Munger (via Ghorghat), the premises near Krishnagarh Chowk School, Masadi Bagicha Parking, and the Panchayat Sarkar Bhavan have been declared as official parking spots.

Traffic police personnel have been deployed at these locations to eliminate any confusion for drivers and ensure they can park their vehicles in an orderly manner.

Complete Prohibition of Vehicles on Four Major Roads in the Main Mela Zone

Prioritizing heavy pedestrian crowds and security during the Shravani Mela, the district administration has imposed a complete ban on the operation of all types of vehicles on four major roads within the mela zone:

The route from Krishnagarh via Bazar Chowk to Thana Chowk.

The route from Thana Mor via Bazar Chowk to Krishnagarh.

The road leading from Bypass Mor to Ghat Chowk.

The main route leading from Krishnagarh towards Uttar Ghat.

Rules for Totos and Goods Carriers: Entry of general vehicles (excluding Totos) from the new bypass NH-80 towards Krishnagarh will remain strictly prohibited to prevent any inconvenience to walking kanwarias. Meanwhile, for small goods carrier vehicles supplying daily utility goods and materials to the market area, a restricted timeframe of 11:00 PM to 2:00 PM has been established. Arrangements for the nearest small parking spots (such as Jaynagar Bagicha) have also been made for motorcycle riders.
