Major Rail Boost for Bihar; Chhapra-Anand Vihar Weekly Express Flagged Off.

 In a major push to augment train connectivity and passenger convenience in North Bihar, a high-profile ceremonial event was held at Chhapra Junction. Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, officially flagged off the inaugural run of the Chhapra-Anand Vihar Weekly Express.

 Key Highlights & Schedule:

Direct Capital Link: This new express service fulfills a long-standing demand, establishing a direct link to the national capital (Anand Vihar Terminal) for passengers from Saran, Siwan, and Gopalganj.

Key Halts & Route: The train will run via Ballia, Mau, Azamgarh, Shahganj, Jaunpur, Sultanpur, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Aligarh, and Ghaziabad.

Operational Schedule: The train is scheduled to depart Chhapra every Sunday at 08:50 PM, arriving at Anand Vihar Terminal the following Monday at 02:00 PM.

 Global 'Make in India' Milestone:

Adding a global footprint to the event, the leaders also flagged off the 51st diesel locomotive manufactured at the Marhowra Rail Factory. This locomotive is being exported to the African nation of Guinea, marking a proud moment for indigenous manufacturing in Bihar.

 Alongside the main launch, the Railway Minister virtually inaugurated the Mau-Anand Vihar Express and announced the route extension of the Dohrighat-Aunrihar train up to Varanasi City.
