Madhepura News: God Bharai Ceremony Organized at Anganwadi Centers in Ghailadh Block, Pregnant Women Made Aware About Nutrition and Healthcare

Madhepura: A special God Bharai (baby shower) program was organized at all Anganwadi centers across the Ghailadh block area of Madhepura district with the aim of promoting maternal and child health. During the program, pregnant women were made aware of the importance of proper nutrition, regular health check-ups, and timely vaccination. Female supervisors and Anganwadi workers provided important information to pregnant women regarding precautions to be taken during pregnancy and proper care for both mother and child.

A large number of pregnant women participated in the program. The traditional God Bharai ceremony was conducted at Anganwadi centers, where pregnant women were provided nutritious food items. Women were informed that a balanced diet during pregnancy is extremely important for the health of both the mother and the baby. Regular medical check-ups and proper nutrition can help reduce complications during childbirth.

The main objective of the program, conducted under the Women and Child Development Department, was to connect pregnant women with healthcare services and create awareness about safe motherhood. Officials said that Anganwadi centers are not only centers for child nutrition and early education but also play an important role in providing health-related information and support to pregnant and lactating women.

Pregnant Women Given Information About Nutrition

During the program, women were informed about the increased nutritional requirements during pregnancy. They were advised to include green vegetables, pulses, milk, fruits, eggs, and other nutritious food items in their daily diet. Women were also advised to take essential nutrients like iron and calcium as recommended.

Anganwadi workers explained that regular health check-ups are necessary to prevent problems like weakness, anemia, and other pregnancy-related complications. They advised women to immediately contact healthcare centers if they experience any health issues during pregnancy.

Emphasis on Regular Health Check-ups and Vaccination

Health department workers participating in the program encouraged pregnant women to undergo regular medical examinations. They explained that timely check-ups help monitor the health condition of both the mother and the unborn child.

Women were also informed about the importance of vaccination during pregnancy. Officials said that timely vaccination protects mothers and children from several serious diseases. Information about various government health schemes and facilities available for pregnant women was also provided.

Female Supervisor Provided Guidance

The female supervisor present at the program addressed pregnant women and said that a healthy mother gives birth to a healthy child. Therefore, women should take special care of their health during pregnancy. She encouraged women to regularly visit Anganwadi centers and take advantage of available healthcare services.

She said that the government has launched several schemes to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates. These schemes can only achieve their goals when women become aware and actively use healthcare services.

Important Role of Anganwadi Workers

Anganwadi workers and helpers played an important role in making the God Bharai program successful. They gathered pregnant women and managed the arrangements for the event. The workers provided information related to nutrition, hygiene, and healthcare practices.

The workers explained that pregnant women are regularly monitored and their health-related information is shared with the concerned departments. If any health problem is detected, women are referred to healthcare centers for better treatment.

Initiative to Increase Awareness in Rural Areas

Programs like God Bharai are proving effective in increasing health awareness among women in rural areas. Due to lack of information, many women are unable to take necessary precautions during pregnancy, which can affect their own health and the health of their babies.

Through such programs, women are informed about proper care during pregnancy with support from their families. They are also educated about important precautions before and after childbirth.

Efforts to Promote Safe Motherhood

The Health Department aims to ensure that every pregnant woman receives timely healthcare services and has access to safe delivery facilities. For this purpose, continuous awareness campaigns are being conducted through Anganwadi centers.

Officials said that providing proper nutrition, health check-ups, and vaccination facilities to pregnant women can significantly improve maternal and child health. Keeping this objective in mind, God Bharai programs are being organized regularly at Anganwadi centers across the block.

Women Showed Enthusiasm During the Program

Pregnant women showed great enthusiasm during the event. They received important health information and also shared their concerns with Anganwadi workers and supervisors. Officials assured them that the department is always ready to address healthcare-related issues.

Rural women appreciated the initiative and said that such programs provide them with valuable information about proper care and nutrition during pregnancy.

The God Bharai program organized in Ghailadh block is being considered an important step toward strengthening maternal and child healthcare. The administration and health department are making continuous efforts to spread awareness among more women and achieve the goal of safe motherhood and healthy childhood.
