Kidnapped Person’s Phone Call Sparks Police Action; Panic After News of Being Held Hostage in an 'Orchard'
Muzaffarpur: A sensational case has emerged from the Kanti police station area of the district, where a phone call made by a kidnapped person to his relatives has caused a stir within the police department. The kidnapped individual reported over the call that some unknown miscreants had forcibly brought him to a secluded orchard. Since receiving this information, there has been chaos in the victim's family, and in a state of distress, they have been pleading with the police for help.
Call Escalates Concerns for Relatives
According to the information received, the victim was abducted by some miscreants while he was on his way. A while after the abduction, when the family was already anxious due to fears of a tragedy, they received a phone call from the kidnapped person. Submerged in fear and panic, the victim could only manage to say on the phone, "Some people have brought me to an orchard." Since the call was disconnected, the victim's mobile phone has been switched off, which has further increased the panic among the relatives.
Police Launch Rapid Raids
As soon as the Kanti police were informed about this call, the Station House Officer (SHO) and his team took the matter with the utmost seriousness. The police immediately utilized the technical cell to track the phone's location. According to police sources, based on the last recorded location, raids are being conducted in several suspicious orchards in and around the Kanti area.
Officials stated that they are also investigating whether this is a case of ransom or the result of an old enmity. Multiple police teams have been dispatched in different directions to ensure the victim is rescued safely.
Panic Spreads in the Area
This incident has shaken the local residents. Amidst the criminal incidents reported in Muzaffarpur in recent days, such a kidnapping followed by a distress call has raised serious questions about law and order. A large crowd of villagers has gathered near the Kanti police station and the crime scene. People are demanding that the police apprehend the culprits as soon as possible.
