Horrific Road Accident in Supaul: Runaway Vehicle Mows Down Two at Mahipatti Mode; Farmer and Youth Die on the Spot

SUPAUL/KISHANPUR: A heart-wrenching and devastating road accident has emerged from Bihar’s Supaul district. Under the jurisdiction of the Kishanpur Police Station, a speeding unidentified vehicle brutally crushed two individuals standing by the roadside near Mahipatti Mode. Both a local farmer and a young man died on the spot in this tragic hit-and-run incident. Following the accident, a pall of gloom has descended over the entire locality, and the families of the deceased are inconsolable.

Deceased Identified; Village Mourns the Loss

Both victims of this horrific crash near Mahipatti Mode were local residents. The police and villagers have identified them as:

Panchi Yadav (aged approx. 52 years) – A local farmer who had stepped out for his routine daily work.

Amarendra alias Harbhajan Sada (aged approx. 24 years) – A promising youth from the same village.

The simultaneous deaths of two villagers have left the residents of Mahipatti and surrounding areas in deep shock and mourning. Deep anger and resentment are also brewing among the locals regarding the incident.

How Did the Tragic Incident Happen? (Eyewitness Account)

According to gathered information, on Friday, Panchi Yadav and Amarendra alias Harbhajan Sada were standing on the side of the road near Mahipatti Mode, conversing with each other. Meanwhile, a recklessly driven, high-speed unidentified vehicle (suspected to be an uncontrolled truck or heavy commercial vehicle) coming from the highway side hit them violently.

The impact of the collision was so severe that both were thrown several meters away, sustaining fatal injuries, and died instantly at the scene. Shaming humanity, instead of stopping to assist, the driver accelerated further and managed to flee the spot with the vehicle via the main road and connecting fields.

Angry Villagers Protest; Police Take Control

Upon receiving news of the accident, a crowd of hundreds of nearby villagers gathered at the spot. Outraged residents staged a protest for a brief period, demanding stricter speed regulations and better road safety measures. However, the Kishanpur Police quickly arrived at the scene with a significant force. Police officials reasoned with the agitated villagers, brought the situation under control, and cleared the area.
