Patna: A significant hearing was held on Wednesday at the Patna Civil Court in the much-discussed Musallahpur Haat firing case. The court heard the anticipatory bail petitions filed by Khan Global Studies director Faizal Khan alias Khan Sir and his associates, who have been accused in the firing incident that occurred during a dispute between coaching institutes. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court reserved its order. The decision will be pronounced on July 10.

The hearing took place before Patna Civil Court District Judge Rupesh Kumar Dev. During the proceedings, both the prosecution and defense presented their arguments. After considering the facts and submissions made by both sides, the court decided to deliver its order on the scheduled date. The accused and their supporters are now waiting for the court’s decision.

Apart from Khan Sir alias Faizal Khan, anticipatory bail petitions were also filed by his three associates — Ajit Kumar, Kanhaiya Kumar Singh, and Ankit Kumar Pandey. Along with these petitions, the regular bail applications of two security guards involved in the case were also heard. Both guards are currently lodged in Beur Jail.

The court has completed the hearing on all bail petitions and will announce its decision on July 10. The verdict will determine whether the accused receive legal relief or whether their difficulties continue.

Dispute and Firing Incident Took Place on June 2 Night

The incident dates back to the night of June 2, when a dispute broke out between two groups associated with coaching institutes in the Musallahpur Haat area of Patna. During the confrontation, firing reportedly took place, creating panic and tension in the locality.

After the incident, a video showing the firing went viral on social media. Based on the viral video and other evidence, the Kadamkuan Police Station initiated an investigation. Following the inquiry, police registered an FIR in the matter.

The FIR filed by the Kadamkuan police named Khan Sir and two of his security personnel. During the investigation, police examined various aspects of the case and began further legal action based on the allegations.

Defense Presented Arguments in Favor of Bail

During the bail hearing, the defense counsel requested relief for the accused. The defense presented several arguments before the court, stating that strict action against the accused was not justified solely on the basis of allegations.

The lawyers representing Khan Sir and his associates argued that they were ready to cooperate with the investigation and requested the court to grant anticipatory bail. They urged the court to provide legal protection to the accused.

Opposing Side Challenged the Bail Plea

On the other hand, the complainant’s side opposed the bail applications. On July 7, advocate Satyam Jha, representing the Roushan Anand side, argued against granting bail to Faizal Khan.

The opposing side argued before the court that bail should not be granted considering the seriousness of the case. Advocate Satyam Jha told the court that Faizal Khan had allegedly concealed his criminal history.

The complainant’s side claimed that important facts related to the case needed to be considered before granting bail. They argued that releasing the accused on bail could affect the investigation and requested the court to reject the bail petition.

Police Investigation Underway

Police are continuing their investigation into the firing case. Officials said that all aspects related to the incident are being examined. Further action is being taken based on viral video evidence, statements of witnesses, and other available information.

Police are trying to determine the actual reason behind the dispute and identify the roles of all individuals involved in the incident. Further legal action will be taken based on facts that emerge during the investigation.

Coaching Institute Dispute Raises Security Concerns

The Musallahpur Haat area is known as a major hub for students preparing for competitive examinations, with a large number of coaching institutes operating there.

The dispute between coaching institutes and the subsequent firing incident raised concerns regarding security arrangements in the area. After the incident, the police administration increased vigilance and took necessary steps to maintain peace and order.

Students and local residents also expressed concern over the incident. They said that such incidents should not occur in educational areas and urged the administration to strengthen security arrangements.

All Eyes on Court Decision on July 10

The final decision in the case is now awaited. District Judge Rupesh Kumar Dev’s court will pronounce its order on July 10. The decision will clarify whether Khan Sir and the other accused receive anticipatory bail or face further legal proceedings.

Legal experts say that while deciding bail applications, courts consider several factors, including the seriousness of allegations, the status of the investigation, the nature of charges, and available evidence.

At present, the police investigation is continuing, and everyone is waiting for the court’s order. The Musallahpur Haat firing case remains a major topic of discussion in Patna, with attention focused on the verdict expected on July 10.
