Grand Symposium Organized on World Nature Conservation Day Under the Joint Auspices of Satya Sanatan Vedic Samaj and Vedic Culture Forum; Environmental Conservation Highlighted as the Core Foundation of the Vedas

Bhagalpur (Nathnagar), Special Correspondent: With the objective of preserving Sanatan culture and spreading public awareness towards the environment, a high-level symposium was organized on the premises of the Chaiti Durga Community Hall in the historic area of Nathnagar, Silk City Bhagalpur. Held under the joint auspices of the Satya Sanatan Vedic Samaj and the Vedic Culture Forum, the central theme of this program was 'World Nature Conservation Day'. A large number of enlightened citizens, Vedic scholars, environmental lovers, and youth of the region participated in the event. The program commenced with Vedic chanting and nature worship, filling the entire auditorium with an aura of spirituality and environmental consciousness.

Inauguration of the Program with Lamp Lighting and Vedic Hymns

The symposium was formally inaugurated through the joint lighting of the lamp by the eminent scholars and speakers present.

Worship of Nature in the Vedas: In his introductory address, the coordinator of the program stated that in Indian Sanatan culture and the Vedas and Puranas, nature itself is considered a direct manifestation of divinity. Our ancient tradition of worshipping trees, rivers, mountains, and wildlife is proof that Sanatan culture is the oldest and strongest advocate of environmental conservation.

Message of the Environment Echoes in the Community Hall: Speaking at this seminar held at a sacred and historic site like the Chaiti Durga place, speakers noted that at a time when the entire world is grappling with grave problems like global warming, climate change, and pollution, returning to the Vedas and the ancient Indian lifestyle is the only solution.

Views of Speakers: "Enhancement, Not Exploitation of Nature is Essential"

Addressing the symposium, various speakers shed detailed light on the unbreakable bond between nature and humankind:

The Tradition of Sages: Speakers mentioned that our sages attained knowledge while living in forests and spent their entire lives delivering messages to maintain ecological balance. Today, in the blind race of modernity, humans are indiscriminately exploiting nature, the consequences of which are confronting us in the form of severe droughts, floods, and unseasonal rains.

Balance of the Five Elements: Representatives of the Vedic Culture Forum stated that earth, water, fire, space, and air—these five elements form the foundation of life. If even one of these elements becomes unbalanced, all of humanity falls into crisis. Therefore, it is our collective moral duty to save water, plant as many trees as possible, and pledge to create a plastic-free environment.

Youth and Citizens Administered Oath for Environmental Conservation

At the conclusion of the program, a special session was organized wherein all the participating youth, students, and local citizens were administered an oath for environmental conservation:

They will plant a new sapling on every auspicious occasion of their lives and nurture it completely.

They will conserve every single drop of water in daily life and strive to save traditional sources of water (such as wells and ponds).

They will shun the use of plastic and other hazardous materials that pollute the environment.

This symposium organized by the Satya Sanatan Vedic Samaj and the Vedic Culture Forum at the Chaiti Durga Community Hall in Nathnagar succeeded completely in delivering a highly positive and timely message to society. This event not only made people aware of the environment but also served as a reminder that our ancient Vedic culture holds the solutions to all major contemporary problems.
