Grand Kalash Shobhayatra Taken Out from Sanatan Temple in Jichho Bishanpur Atmosphere Filled with Devotion
Sabour (Bhagalpur): The Sanatan Temple premises, located in Jichho Bishanpur village under the Lodipur police station area, appeared immersed in colors of faith and devotion on Monday. A grand Kalash Shobhayatra (procession of sacred urns) was taken out from the temple grounds, in which hundreds of male and female devotees participated with great enthusiasm. During this religious ritual, the entire area resonated with chants of "Har-Har Mahadev" and "Jai Shri Ram."
Joy of Devotion
From Monday morning, devotees began gathering at the temple premises. Women, dressed in traditional attire, carried urns on their heads to mark the beginning of the procession. The procession moved from the temple through various routes of the village. During this time, devotees were seen dancing and singing to the tunes of devotional songs. The enthusiasm of the participants was clearly visible.
Significance of the Religious Ritual
The organizers of the Sanatan Temple stated that this procession is part of a series of religious events organized for the prosperity and peace of the village. During the Kalash Yatra, rituals were performed with due diligence. Local people believe that such religious events strengthen the spirit of unity in society and make people more aware of their faith.
Festive Atmosphere in the Village
Residents of the areas through which the procession passed welcomed the participants by showering them with flowers. The entire route was decorated with flags and ornamental arches. Elders of the village mentioned that this event at the Sanatan Temple is an integral part of a long-standing tradition, which the new generation is carrying forward with great zeal. The organizers added that after the conclusion of this ritual, a community feast (Bhandara) will also be organized, where a large number of people will partake in the Prasad.

To ensure that there was no mismanagement, volunteers from the temple committee took charge. Residents of this village, falling under the Lodipur police station area, strictly followed administrative guidelines to ensure the procession was conducted peacefully. This Kalash Yatra has proven how conscious the people in the rural areas of Bhagalpur are regarding their cultural and religious heritage.
