Good News for Guest Teachers: Notification for Service Extension to be Issued by June 30; Teaching to Resume from July 1

Bhagalpur: With the commencement of the 2026-27 academic session, a sigh of relief has emerged for guest teachers. Having waited for a long time for the renewal of their services, guest teachers are soon set to receive official confirmation. The administration has assured that the official notification regarding service extension will be issued by June 30, ensuring that guest teachers can seamlessly resume taking classes from July 1.

The Context of the Situation

Guest teachers working in universities and colleges have been in a state of uncertainty for some time regarding the extension of their services. Teachers working in various state institutions, including TMBU (Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University), had met with the university administration and the Registrar to share their concerns. The teachers' main argument was that there is very little time left before the academic session begins, and they do not want any disruption in the students' studies.

Administration Gives the Green Light

Following discussions between representatives of the Guest Teachers' Association and the university administration, the situation has become clear:

Approval by the Selection Committee: The administration has informed that permission for service extension has been received from the Selection Committee for major subjects, including Chemistry, History, Political Science, Botany, and Hindi.

Verification of Performance Reports: The university has received performance reports of the teachers from all constituent colleges and PG departments, based on which this renewal is being processed.

Notification Deadline: The Registrar has clearly assured that June 30 has been set as the deadline to avoid any technical issues. Official orders will be issued by this date at any cost.

Classes to Begin from July 1

This is a crucial development for guest teachers, as a new round of academic activities is set to begin in colleges starting July 1. Once the notification is issued, teachers will begin teaching students according to their scheduled timetables. This will not only resolve the job crisis for the teachers but will also ensure that the students' curriculum is completed on time.

Enthusiasm and Hope Among Teachers

Dr. Anand Azad, President of the University Guest Teachers' Association, welcomed this initiative, stating that issuing the notification on time will help maintain a stable academic environment. The teachers have urged the administration to avoid any unnecessary delays in the remaining process so that they can dedicate themselves to teaching with full enthusiasm.

The assurance from the administration regarding the June 30 deadline comes as a major relief for guest teachers. With teaching work set to resume on July 1, the path for the smooth conduct of the academic session has been cleared. All eyes are now on June 30, when the notification will be made public following the final approval.
