Escalating Trouble for Tej Pratap Yadav: Former Aide Akash Yadav Files FIR; 'Lawrence Bishnoi' Gang Threat Angle Emerges

PATNA: Former Bihar Minister and National President of Janshakti Janata Dal, Tej Pratap Yadav, has found himself embroiled in a major controversy. His former associate and the ex-state president of Chhatra RJD, Akash Yadav, has lodged a formal First Information Report (FIR) at the Patliputra Police Station against Tej Pratap Yadav and his personal assistant (PA), Motilal Yadav. The legal battle has now officially moved to the Patna Civil Court.

Serious Allegations Leveled by Akash Yadav

According to the written complaint and court filings submitted by Akash Yadav:

Trespassing and Intimidation: The incident reportedly took place on June 6. While Akash Yadav was away on a pilgrimage to Khatu Shyam, Tej Pratap Yadav and his PA Motilal Yadav allegedly forced their way into Akash's residence in Patliputra and misbehaved with his family.

Death Threats via 'Lawrence Bishnoi' Gang: In a sensational claim, Akash Yadav alleged that following the incident, he received a phone call from an international number. The caller claimed affiliation with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang and threatened to shoot Akash dead if he continued to speak out against Tej Pratap Yadav (referred to as 'Mantri Ji').

Evidence Submitted: Akash Yadav has handed over the audio recordings of the threatening phone calls and other digital evidence to both the police and the court.

Tej Pratap Yadav Hits Back: "Do Not Mistake My Humility for Weakness"

Responding sharply to the FIR and the mounting allegations, Tej Pratap Yadav took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to present his defense. He shared copies of a legal notice previously sent to Akash Yadav.

Tej Pratap Yadav stated: "It is highly unfortunate that a person who was served a legal notice regarding his abusive, derogatory, and anti-social behavior has resorted to retaliatory, false, and baseless actions instead of acknowledging his mistakes. No one should make the mistake of mistaking my humility for my weakness. Truth can be troubled, but it can never be defeated."

Tej Pratap Yadav has dismissed all the allegations as politically motivated fabrications designed to malign his public image, vowing to fight the matter aggressively through legal channels.

Background of the Dispute

Political analysts note that while friction between the two had been brewing for a long time, the conflict turned personal and legal following the high-profile Anushka Yadav dispute. Akash Yadav is the brother of Anushka Yadav and was once considered Tej Pratap's right-hand man. Following severe familial and political fallout over the issue, Lalu Prasad Yadav had even expelled Tej Pratap from the party.

Current Status: The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Law and Order has confirmed the registration of the FIR at the Patliputra Police Station. The police are currently auditing the international call logs and analyzing the audio recordings to investigate every angle of the alleged extortion and threat calls.
