Car and Bike Collide on Janipur Canal Road; Condition of Two Khagaul Students Critical at AIIMS
A major road accident has been reported from the Janipur police station area of the capital, Patna. A speeding Swift Dzire car and a motorcycle collided head-on near Mahangupur village on the Janipur Canal Road. Two students from Khagaul, who were riding the motorcycle, were severely injured in the violent crash.
Speeding Car Hits Bike, Driver Flees the Scene
According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the collision was so severe that the motorcycle was completely wrecked. Immediately after the accident, the driver of the Swift Dzire car managed to flee the spot with the vehicle. Demonstrating quick thinking, local residents immediately informed the police and rushed both bloodied students to AIIMS Patna in an ambulance.
Students Battling for Life in Hospital
According to doctors at AIIMS Patna, both students have sustained grievous injuries, and their condition remains critical due to heavy blood loss. The injured students are reported to be residents of the Khagaul area. Efforts are underway to establish their exact identities and notify their family members.
Police Investigation Underway
Upon receiving the information, the Janipur police station personnel reached the spot. The police inspected the accident site and questioned local residents. According to the Station House Officer (SHO), CCTV footage from cameras installed along Canal Road and near Mahangupur village is being scanned to identify the fleeing car and its driver. The police have assured that the accused driver will be arrested soon. Meanwhile, a pall of gloom has descended upon the families of the injured students.
