Bihar Model Schools Career Preparation Starting from Class 9
The state government has prepared an ambitious plan to transform the educational landscape in the state.
New Initiative: The Bihar government has decided to open state-of-the-art model schools named 'Saraswati Vidya Niketan' in all 534 blocks of the state.
Career-Oriented Education: The key feature of these schools is that students will be prepared for their preferred careers (such as becoming a doctor or an engineer) starting from class 9.
Special Classes: The department has planned to conduct special classes to provide in-depth study of subjects related to the students' career goals.
Subject Selection: Students will have the opportunity to choose their stream (such as science with options in mathematics or biology) based on their interests and direct their studies accordingly.
Initial Phase: The implementation of this plan will first begin as an experiment in the state's existing model schools. If successful, it will be expanded to other schools across the state.
Quality Education: These schools will offer education from classes 9 to 12, with the aim of providing world-class facilities and education similar to convent schools.
Admission to these schools will be based on an entrance exam and a merit list.
