Bhagalpur: Rigorous Physical Examination of District Police Force Candidates Underway at Sadar Hospital; Over 90 Youths Screened

Bhagalpur: A critical phase in the recruitment process for the district police force is currently underway, aimed at ensuring transparency and robustness. A comprehensive medical examination of the candidates selected for the district police force is being conducted at the Sadar Hospital in Bhagalpur. Acting under the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the process began on Wednesday, with a large number of candidates lining up to prove their physical fitness.

Detailed Medical Screening Process

A special medical board constituted within the Sadar Hospital premises is meticulously examining the health parameters of the candidates. The screening process has been kept strictly rigorous to ensure that no future issues regarding physical incompetence hinder law and order operations.

Ophthalmological Examination: The candidates' vision is being thoroughly tested, including checks for color blindness and the clarity of distant and near vision. Healthy eyesight is a mandatory requirement for the police force.

Orthopedic Assessment: A team of orthopedic specialists is examining the candidates' physical structure. The assessment focuses on detecting conditions such as flat feet, knock knees, and any form of skeletal deformity.

General Physical Evaluation: Beyond these, the general health assessment includes evaluating heart rate, blood pressure, hearing, and the functional capacity of other vital organs.

SSP Directives and Security Oversight

The medical process is being supervised directly by the district police administration. The SSP has issued clear instructions that no negligence will be tolerated in the recruitment process. Adequate police personnel have been deployed at the hospital to manage the crowds and ensure the smooth flow of the procedure.

Hospital management stated that they have set a target to screen over 90 candidates daily. Only those who meet all the prescribed physical standards will be deemed eligible for the final selection list.

Significance of the Recruitment Process

The induction of new personnel into the Bhagalpur police will further strengthen the district's security apparatus. Having already cleared the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and the written examination, these candidates are now at their final hurdle—the medical examination—at Sadar Hospital.

The administration has clarified that candidates found with minor, rectifiable issues are being given time for correction, while those with serious medical conditions will be disqualified according to established standards.

Administrative Appeal

The Sadar Hospital administration has appealed to all candidates to maintain patience during the examination and to arrive on time with the necessary documentation, including identification cards, admit cards, and certificates from previous stages. The medical examination process is expected to continue for the next few days to ensure that all eligible candidates are evaluated.
