Late on Friday night, six masked robbers allegedly broke into the house of retired employee Jai Chandra Chaudhary in Budhauddinchak village. The armed criminals reportedly tied up the entire family with ropes, held them hostage, and escaped with gold jewellery worth approximately ₹15 lakh and ₹15,000 in cash.
The incident has created panic among local residents. Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and have launched an investigation. Officials said a special team has been formed to identify and arrest the accused, and every possible angle is being examined.
Six Masked Robbers Entered the House Late at Night
According to initial reports, Jai Chandra Chaudhary and his family were asleep when the incident occurred. Around midnight, six masked men allegedly forced their way into the house.
The robbers were reportedly carrying weapons and immediately took control of the household. Family members said the criminals threatened to kill them if they resisted. They then tied the hands and feet of all the family members with ropes, preventing them from raising an alarm or seeking help.
Robbers Searched the Entire House
After holding the family hostage, the robbers systematically searched every room in the house. They opened cupboards, lockers, and storage units, taking away all valuable items they could find.
According to the victims, the gang looted gold jewellery worth nearly ₹15 lakh along with ₹15,000 in cash. Household belongings were left scattered as the robbers searched for valuables.
The entire operation reportedly lasted for a considerable time before the criminals fled under the cover of darkness.
Panic After the Incident
After the robbers escaped, the family somehow managed to free themselves from the ropes and raised an alarm. Hearing their cries, neighbors rushed to the house and immediately informed the local police.
News of the robbery spread quickly throughout the village, creating fear and anger among residents, who questioned the effectiveness of security arrangements in the area.
Police Launch Investigation
A police team arrived at the crime scene shortly after receiving the information and conducted a detailed inspection of the house. Officers recorded statements from the victims and nearby residents while collecting evidence from the scene.
Police officials said CCTV footage from nearby locations is also being examined. Investigators hope that surveillance cameras may provide important clues about the identity and movements of the suspects.
Organized Gang Suspected
Based on the initial investigation, police suspect that the robbery may have been carried out by an organized criminal gang. The manner in which the robbers searched the house suggests they may have had prior knowledge about the valuables kept there.
Investigators are also examining whether someone familiar with the family or the locality may have provided information to the gang. However, officials have not reached any conclusions and say all possibilities remain under investigation.
Family in Shock
The robbery has left Jai Chandra Chaudhary and his family deeply traumatized. Family members said they never imagined such a terrifying incident could occur inside their own home.
They have urged the authorities to arrest the culprits quickly and recover the stolen property. The family also demanded strict punishment for those responsible to deter similar crimes in the future.
Fear Among Villagers
Residents of Budhauddinchak village said recent criminal activities have made people feel increasingly unsafe. They have demanded increased night patrols, regular police surveillance, and stronger security arrangements in the area.
Villagers also pointed out that elderly people and retired individuals living in villages are often targeted because criminals believe they keep cash and valuables at home.
Police Promise Swift Action
Senior police officials said a special investigation team has been constituted to solve the case. Investigators are using technical evidence, CCTV footage, and local intelligence to trace the accused.
Police said raids are being conducted at suspected locations, and they are confident that the entire gang will be identified and arrested soon. Authorities also appealed to the public to share any information that could assist in the investigation.
Growing Concern Over Property Crimes
The robbery has once again highlighted concerns over increasing incidents of theft and armed robbery in rural areas. Security experts advise homeowners to install CCTV cameras, strengthen locks and security systems, and avoid keeping large quantities of cash or expensive jewellery at home.
They also recommend using secure bank lockers for storing valuable ornaments whenever possible.

Police are continuing their investigation by analyzing forensic evidence, CCTV footage, victim statements, and other technical inputs to identify the robbers and recover the stolen property.
The sensational robbery at Jai Chandra Chaudhary's residence has shocked the entire Budhauddinchak village.
