Armed Robbers Loot Goldsmith of Gold, Silver and Mobile Phone in Vaishali
Patehri Belsar (Vaishali), Correspondent: A major robbery incident has created panic in Vaishali district after armed criminals looted gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs of rupees along with a mobile phone from a jeweler in Jarang Rampur village under Belsar police station limits on Monday night. After carrying out the crime, the robbers managed to escape. Police have launched an investigation and are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
According to reports, the jeweler, a resident of Jarang Rampur village, was returning home after finishing his daily business activities. He was carrying gold and silver ornaments related to his business when a group of armed criminals, who were allegedly lying in wait, intercepted him on the way. The robbers threatened him with weapons and snatched the bag containing valuable items.
The victim stated that there were three to four criminals involved in the robbery, all of whom were armed. The entire incident took place within a few minutes, leaving him with little chance to react. The robbers allegedly looted approximately eight bhar (traditional weight measure) of gold, around one kilogram of silver, and his mobile phone before fleeing the scene.
According to the jeweler, the criminals first stopped him and pointed weapons at him. When he attempted to resist, they threatened to kill him if he raised an alarm. Fearing for his life, he was unable to oppose them, and the robbers escaped with the valuables.
After the incident, the victim informed local residents, who quickly gathered at the scene. The matter was then reported to the Belsar Police Station. A police team reached the spot shortly afterward and began an investigation.
