Having fulfilled his responsibility, he was returning home on his scooter in high spirits. Kunal Safi: The Loss of a Promising Youth

Describing 22-year-old Kunal Safi, local residents said he was a very friendly and hardworking boy. His parents are in a state of shock, as the light of their family’s hopes has been extinguished in this manner. His sister, whom he had just safely dropped off at her in-laws' house, is devastated upon hearing the news.

The Growing Scope of Insecurity on Roads

Kunal’s death has once again raised those fundamental questions about road safety that are often overlooked:

The Havoc of High Speed: The uncontrolled speed of heavy vehicles on rural roads is claiming lives every day.

Hit-and-Run Cases: The driver fleeing instead of helping after an accident is not only a crime but also reflects a decline in human empathy.

Traffic Discipline: In areas like Bahera, the lack of adherence to traffic rules and the reckless driving of heavy vehicles have become common occurrences.

Family and Society in Mourning

Saturday night proved to be a dark night for the Bahera region. When Kunal’s body reached home, fires were not lit in the hearths of the entire village. There is outrage in society over the death of a youth, and people are demanding that the administration increase police patrolling on roads and enforce speed limits to prevent such accidents.

Kunal’s death is a wound that will likely never heal with time. His family now only hopes for justice from the administration. The arrest of the pickup driver and the punishment he receives may be the only consolation for this family. This incident reminds us that a moment of negligence on the road or someone else's haste can shatter a home.
