As soon as the news of Kishan's success reached Ward 23, a wave of joy swept through the locality. Ward Councilor Champa Kumari personally visited the student's home to honor him. The Councilor garlanded Kishan and presented him with an Angavastram (stole), wishing him a bright future.
On this occasion, Ward Councilor Champa Kumari said, "Kishan is the pride of our ward. He has proven that if one’s spirits are high and efforts are made in the right direction, any major goal can be achieved. His success is an example for other children in the ward."
