A Platform of Honor at Marwari College, Toppers and Retired Personnel to be Felicitated

Bhagalpur: Another chapter is set to be added to the glorious history of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU). The university will celebrate its 67th Foundation Day with great fervor on July 12. The main event this year is being organized at the prestigious Marwari College in Bhagalpur, and preparations are already in full swing. In this dignified ceremony, not only will meritorious students be honored, but retired personnel who have served the university will also be accorded special recognition to honor their lifelong contributions.

Preparations for a Grand Event

To outline the structure of the Foundation Day, a high-level meeting was recently held at the office of the Principal of Marwari College. The meeting was chaired by Principal Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jha. To ensure the event is both grand and disciplined, key representatives of the university, including TNB College Principal Dr. Deepo Mahto and BN College Principal Dr. Rahul Kumar, were present. Under the directive of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vimalendu Shekhar Jha, the joint responsibility for this significant event has been entrusted to these three major colleges.

Honoring Excellence: 'Overall Toppers' to be Rewarded

The most significant highlight of this year's Foundation Day is the felicitation of 'Overall Toppers' from all academic units of the university. The university administration has directed all constituent and affiliated colleges, postgraduate departments, and B.Ed colleges to prepare a list of their top-performing students. This initiative will not only encourage meritorious students but also showcase the academic standards of the university. According to the organizing committee, one top student from each department and college will be honored on stage during the ceremony.

Gratitude Towards Retired Personnel

A poignant moment of the ceremony will be the felicitation of those teachers and non-teaching staff who have nurtured the university with their dedicated service. Honoring retired personnel from the Foundation Day stage demonstrates the university's profound gratitude toward its former colleagues. This gesture will also serve as an inspiration for the new generation of staff.

Program Outline and Cultural Flair

On July 12, the day will begin with flag hoisting at the university headquarters. Following this, floral tributes will be paid to the statue of Tilka Manjhi. Thereafter, all invited guests, professors, students, and retired personnel will gather at the main hall of the venue, Marwari College. During the main event, students from colleges at the Bhagalpur headquarters will showcase their cultural talents. Cultural programs based on patriotism and local heritage will add to the grandeur of the occasion.

Administrative Strategy

The Principals of the three major colleges—Marwari College, TNB College, and BN College—along with NSS coordinators, have formulated a robust strategy to ensure meticulous arrangements for welcoming guests, seating, and security. The meeting also included discussions on the list of chief guests to be invited and the protocols to be followed in their honor.

TMBU’s 67th Foundation Day is not just a celebration, but also an opportunity to reflect on the university's academic journey. The collaboration of these prestigious educational institutions in organizing the event is a sign that the university family is moving forward together toward academic excellence.

This event promises to be a memorable day for students, parents, and teachers, further strengthening Bhagalpur's growing reputation in the field of education.
