Growing Concerns Regarding Safety on Railway Tracks

This incident has once again raised questions about the safety of people living near the rail section. Villagers residing around Narayanpur station state that there is no proper protective wall or warning signage along the tracks, which is why people frequently cross the tracks on foot. Despite repeated requests to the local administration and railway authorities, no concrete steps have been taken in this direction.

Appeal by Police and Administration

The railway police have registered the case and initiated an investigation. The Station House Officer (SHO) stated, "We repeatedly appeal to the local residents to use only designated bridges or foot-over bridges to cross railway tracks. Walking on or crossing the tracks is not only illegal but also life-threatening."

Family Devastated

Since receiving news of the accident, there is chaos in Puro Thakur’s family. His relatives are praying for his recovery at the hospital. Villagers describe Puro Thakur as a very calm-natured person, noting that at his age, it is difficult to maintain balance amidst high-speed trains.

This incident serves as a grim reminder that even a small amount of negligence near railway tracks can have a heavy price. Currently, all eyes are on the elderly man's health. The administration has urged villagers to follow railway rules and exercise caution near the tracks.
