New Twist in Bhojpur Encounter Case; Victim's Family Rejects Judicial Probe, To Move Court

In a major development in the high-profile Bharat Bhushan Tiwari encounter case of Bilauti village (Bhojpur), the deceased’s family has rejected Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary's order for a judicial inquiry. Terming the government action "insufficient," the family stated they have zero faith in this investigation and will now knock on the doors of the court for justice.

3 Major Updates on the Case:

Government's Action: Following widespread public outrage, CM Samrat Choudhary ordered a high-level judicial probe by a retired Patna High Court judge. Additionally, four policemen, including the Shahpur SHO, have been suspended.

Family's Demand: Kashinath Tiwari, the father of the deceased, asserted that this was not a "crossfire encounter" but a "pre-planned murder." They demand that instead of a mere suspension or probe, an FIR under Section 302 (Murder) must be registered against the guilty cops, and they should be jailed immediately.

The Video That Turned the Case: A Facebook Live video from the time of the incident went viral, clearly showing Bharat Tiwari throwing his pistol down and surrendering before the police. Despite his surrender, the police opened fire on him at close range.

 Crucial Statement from the Family:

“When the video clearly shows that my son had surrendered his weapon, what is left to investigate? This inquiry is just a facade to protect the guilty police officers. We do not accept this government probe; we will seek justice directly from the court.”

Following the family's rigid stance, political tension and public anger have escalated in Bhojpur. The victim's family is reportedly preparing to file a petition against this alleged fake encounter in the court very soon.
