Jhandapur: The 124th death anniversary of the great philosopher, charismatic orator, and youth icon, Swami Vivekananda, was observed with deep reverence and dignity at the Middle School in Jhandapur this Saturday. A special program was organized on the school premises, which saw the participation of teachers, students, and local intellectuals. The primary objective of the event was to acquaint the new generation with the ideals and the nation-building vision of Swamiji.

A Tsunami of Floral Tributes and Reverence

During this time, the entire atmosphere resonated with slogans such as "Vivekananda Amar Rahe" (Long live Vivekananda) and his immortal words, "Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached."

Headmaster’s Address Inspires the Audience

Presiding over the program, Headmaster Rajiv Nayan shed light on the lesser-known aspects of Swamiji's life. He stated, "Swami Vivekananda was not just a saint, but a modern torchbearer of Indian culture. He elevated India’s stature on the world stage and taught the youth that inner strength is the key to success."

Addressing the students, he noted that in today's era, when students face immense pressure from mental stress and competition, Swamiji's thoughts serve as a guiding light. He encouraged the students to read Swamiji's biography regularly and to incorporate the mantra of "Service to humanity is service to God" into their own lives.

Enthusiasm Among Students

On this occasion, several students shared anecdotes from Swami Vivekananda's life. Priya, a student of class eight, presented excerpts from Swamiji's historic speech at the World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago, which left the audience spellbound. Some students also expressed their respect by creating posters and drawings based on Swamiji's life.

A special discussion was held on how Swamiji's message, "Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached," remains the greatest source of inspiration for the youth even today.

Role of Youth in Nation Building

Teacher Sanjeev Kumar remarked that Swamiji believed that no power in the world could stop a country whose youth are courageous and of high character. The school staff resolved to walk the path shown by Swamiji, imparting not only education but also moral values so that students can become responsible citizens in the future.

The program concluded with the National Anthem. A profound sense of reverence for Swamiji was evident across the school premises.
