All Coaching Institutes to be Shifted Outside Main City! Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary Announces Dedicated 'Special Coaching Hub'
Patna: Amidst the high-voltage ongoing dispute between private coaching institutes and the resulting chaos on the streets of the state capital, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has announced a major policy decision. Speaking at a grand event organized by the Urban Development and Housing Department—where urban development projects worth over ₹286 crore were inaugurated—the Deputy CM explicitly declared that all coaching centers in Patna will now be relocated from congested city areas to a dedicated, organized hub outside the main town.
A Special 'Coaching Hub' to be Developed Outside Patna
Addressing the gathering at the Urban Development Department event, Samrat Choudhary highlighted that while Bihar has a glorious history in education, the current cluster of coaching centers operating right in the middle of the city has been causing immense traffic snarls and public inconvenience.
The Deputy CM stated:
"All the coaching institutes currently operating within Patna city limits need to be in an organized center outside the main city area. We urge them to move out of the core town so that the daily hardships faced by common citizens can be minimized."
New 'Patliputra Township' to be Developed Across 66,000 Acres
To make Patna beautiful, well-organized, and traffic-free, the Deputy CM unveiled an extensive mega expansion plan. He revealed that the state government is set to develop a brand new 'Patliputra Township' spanning across a massive 66,000 acres of land.
World-Class Amenities: This high-tech satellite city will host world-class facilities in education (including dedicated coaching hubs), healthcare, employment, electricity, water, and modern sanitation systems.
Part of the Grand Plan: A separate, modern, and highly organized zone will be allotted within this new township specifically for coaching institutes. This will provide students with seamless access to advanced libraries, hostels, and premium classrooms within a unified campus.
Why Was This Major Decision Needed?
The administrative move comes closely on the heels of a massive controversy in Patna involving top coaching educators, where student credits and institutional rivalry spilled onto the streets, leading to vandalism and public disorder.
With lakhs of students crowding residential and commercial pockets like Naya Tola, Musallahpur Hat, and Boring Road on a daily basis, local law and order as well as traffic management were facing severe strain. Acknowledging these logistical bottlenecks, the Urban Development Department, BUIDCO, and Patna Municipal Corporation have now been directed to sketch out a permanent zoning solution for these educational institutes.
Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary’s announcement is a far-reaching step toward urban transformation. While it promises to relieve the historic core of Patna from crushing traffic jams and unregulated crowds, the proposed 66,000-acre Patliputra Township aims to offer students an optimized 'Education City' environment modeled after major national hubs like Kota. The focus will now shift to how quickly the administration executes this massive relocation blueprint.
