Corrections and updates
If an error is found, Inside Bihar aims to correct it quickly, clearly and responsibly. We value reader trust, and we understand that accuracy matters especially in local news where stories can affect people, families, institutions and communities.
Corrections may be requested by readers, sources, public officials, reporters or editors. Every request is reviewed based on the available evidence, the seriousness of the issue and whether the published information is factually wrong, incomplete or missing important context. We do not treat disagreement with opinion, tone or editorial judgement as a correction unless there is a factual issue.
How to request a correction
Email us at info@insidebihar.com with the article link, the issue, supporting details and your contact information. Helpful requests include official documents, screenshots, dates, names, locations, public records or direct explanation from an involved party.
What we review
We review factual errors, wrong names, dates, locations, captions, attribution issues, missing context, outdated information and significant updates to developing stories. We also review complaints about image misuse, mistaken identity, incorrect translation and inaccurate headlines.
Correction action
Depending on the issue, we may update the article, add clarification, correct wording, fix metadata, replace media, remove inaccurate material or publish a correction note. Minor spelling, grammar or formatting changes may be corrected without a formal note if they do not affect meaning.
No silent changes for major errors
Major factual corrections should be made transparently so readers understand what changed.
Response time
We try to review correction requests as soon as possible. Urgent issues involving safety, identity, legal risk or public interest may be prioritized. Sending a request does not guarantee a change, but all clear factual concerns are taken seriously.
